Trees We Value is a not for profit community initiative, if you're interested in helping us continue the operation of this register, please get in touch!
Anyone is welcome to nominate a tree, or group of trees, for listing on the register. You do not need to own the trees or know the owner.
Please respect private property and do not enter land for which you do not have permission.
Each nomination will be reviewed by an authorised member of Berry Landcare, and if approved, will be entered onto the register following any necessary revisions and additions. We may need to contact nominators for further information or clarification.
There is a minimum amount of information which is required for a nomination. This tells us what it is, where it is, and why it’s significant. There are additional information categories which are preferred for nominations and many others which can be provided if you know, or are interested. The more information you can provide, the easier and quicker it will be to process the nomination.
At least one photo is preferred, but is not essential, for nominations. All listings on the register will include at least one photo.
It is important that you tick the categories which you think best describe the significance of the tree(s) and write a short statement describing the significance. You can attach supporting information which demonstrates your assessment, such as photos, articles and stories. A nomination will not be accepted for registration if a local level of significance is not reached.
The register is made up of listings of single trees or groups of trees. Below you will see examples of the significant trees from around the Berry district.
